Opening EXPO RÖNTGEN Will Beckers & Manu Bloemen 05/06 at 19.00

Landscape artist Will Beckers and photographer Manu Bloemen met two years ago during the setup of the prestigious House Of Nature project.

This duo exhibition is a combination of, on the one hand, photographs by Manu Bloemen, where the images, due to their strong graphic character, become almost abstract artworks and detach themselves from the project as a whole.

On the other hand, you will see sculptures by Will Beckers title  ‘Cavity’.

By ‘removing’ matter, cavities are created that make the underlying structures visible.

Rhythmic structures that manifest themselves as repetitions and, in an experimental way, show an X-ray of the aging process

This retrospective exhibition shows the philosophy of the « merriment of fragmentation » that is visible in Will Beckers’ work across various mediums and time frames.

“Sometimes it is necessary to break everything before seeing the direction that the work needs to go, then you begin again and the result is even more powerful than you could have imagined.”, explains Will.

After two years of work 'House of Nature' is completed and will become a Gateway to Bosland National Park.

'House of Nature' was created as a Landmark for Bosland National Park. The inspiration for the enormous sculpture comes from a land dune, a natural habitat found in Bosland.
